Ballvalves
Robust & Durable Designs for Greater Efficiency
STEP 1
DO NOT use a wrench of any kind for assembly.
STEP 2
Lubricate 0-Ring in Megatite with lube that meets requirements of the water and pipe supplier.
STEP 3
Cut the pipe square or straight with pipe cutter only DO NOT use a hacksaw.
Chamfer outer edge of the pipe with a proper chamfer toolSTEP4
Insert stiffener into the pipe then measure and mark correct insertion depth which is 2" from the end of the pipe against fitting as shown in fig #1. Push the pipe into fitting up to the mark on the pipe ensuring the pipe has been pushed past the internal 'o' ring see fig #2. Make sure the mark on the pipe is in line with the end of the fitting see fig #3. Repeat for other sides.
STEP 5
Install clevis rod with a cotter pin to secure clevis rod to ball valve.
STEP 6
Install Megatite Ball Valve onto brick or other types of material for support.
STEP 7
Install curb box over clevis rod and ball-valve and backfill and compact soil carefully around the curb stop to prevent ground settling and damage to the valve or service line.
